Last week our recruiter spotlight shone on Houston, Texas. Today we head to the Pacific Northwest and flash it on Seattle … home of Boeing, Microsoft, Grey’s Anatomy, Starbucks, … and Samuel Prince!
Samuel (those closest to him just call him Sam!) is a specialist recruiter for cyber security covering all major metropolitan markets in the USA, as well as the UK and Israel.
We’ve previously highlighted paintball champions, racing car drivers, dog lovers and avid photographers. Now you can meet a Samurai swordsman who may have been a warrior king in a past life who would love to have dinner with Cookie Monster and Alexander the Great!
Introducing Samuel Prince … At Your Service!
How long have you been a part of the RecruitLoop community?
I have been part of the RecruitLoop family since the Summer of 2014.
What were you doing before you met us?
I was running my own independent recruiting practice, and before that I was working in enterprise sales and recruiting.
What is the best part, for you, of being a ‘Looper‘?
Being a part of a rich recruiting clan while being able to empower all my clients with top talent.
What RecruitLoop feature do you think is the most awesome?
Without a doubt it’s the billing platform. This allows for honest and easy to manage business relationships. It’s completely transparent … and that means no hidden surprises for any of my clients at the end of a project!
What has been your funniest RecruitLoop moment?
I know I learn a lot from the regular RecruitLoop community calls, but talking with Paul about Samurai Swords and Jurassic Park, and hearing some of his stories about the ‘snake in the grass’ mosquitoes of Hong Kong was quite amusing (well maybe not for him!).
Why do you believe the RecruitLoop model works so well?
Honesty, transparency, and a multi-faceted recruiting network provides the very best to every single customer.
What are your passions and interests outside work?
One of the things I am really passionate about is supporting orphans’ release from poor or depraved living conditions. Part of the reason I am passionate about this cause is because, I myself was at one time an orphan.
I help support an Orphanage in Uganda called ‘Destiny Orphanage’. It is also a school that trains and equips the orphans very well for any school in Uganda. I support a team here in Seattle around events including fundraising dinners.
What is something other Loopers may not know about you?
The easiest way I recoup my energy is through baby-sitting and volunteering at my church. I am also an active member of the What Joy Project – a Seattle-based project supporting Destiny Orphanage where additional funds raised go towards creating comprehensive educational programs for the orphans.
What 5 words would your clients use to describe you?
Faithful, honest, dedicated, resourceful, and someone who delivers unique candidates (OK so I realise this last description is actually 5 words in itself!).
If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?
To make sure that all orphans are rescued. And by getting involved in Destiny Orphanage I’m taking the first step.
If you could have dinner with five famous people (alive or dead) who would they be and why?
Jesus, Alexander the Great, Cookie Monster, King Leonidas I of Sparta, and the first real Velociraptror. (Don’t worry I’ll elaborate on these last 2!)
Jesus – I would have a lot of questions to ask and think it would be cool.
Alexander the Great – I’d like to ask him, if he knew he would take his last breath at age 32, doing what he was doing, if he would still have chosen to do it anyway.
Cookie Monster – I would like to ask him if he has tried anything to eat, other than just cookies!
King Leonidas I of Sparta – I like this guy because he was a warrior king, leading his army as a king from the front. I would want to ask him what were his thoughts as he led his army to the Battle of Thermopylae.
The first real Velociraptor – I’d like to see if I could keep up with her roll during dinner, and eat the same way that she does.
