The talent, dedication and all-round brilliant humanity that lives in our recruiter community continues to inspire me! We recently caught up with Suzanne Rey, one of our recruiters in San Diego, California and as always with these profiles, we were bowled over by the things we didn’t know about her! We’re pretty sure you will be too! Born in North Africa with an Italian heritage, Suzanne has lived in Italy and Germany before moving the the US.
A global citizen, a seasoned recruiter, a professional singer and a passionate animal rights activist – Suzanne is one of those people in the world who truly make a difference, and we couldn’t be prouder to have her as part of our recruiter community.

About 5 months.

I have been a Contract and Contingency Recruiter for over 25 years and love the industry.
What is the best part, for you, of being a Looper?
Right now, it is all about being introduced to new companies and interesting assignments by the RecruitLoop team. Their reach is amazing and I’m looking forward to working with the fabulous clients they are connecting with.
What RecruitLoop feature do you think is the most awesome?
I love the overall technology, the business model and the video interviewing software. It really is ‘elastic recruiting’ providing great value for money.
What is your funniest RecruitLoop moment?
I haven’t had one yet, but pretty sure I will!
Why do you believe the RecruitLoop model works so well?
RecruitLoop’s technology and ‘charge-by-the-hour’ business model is new to the US market and it fills a big void between high contingency fees and full time recruiters. Many companies can’t justify having a full time recruiter. Also, RecruitLoop offers seasoned recruiters who have specialties or niche industries they work in, so a client can select a recruiter based upon their industry and/or specialization.
What are your passions and interests outside work?
I am a professional jazz and blues singer. Many years ago I was in a rock band in the Bay Area (San Francisco) that recorded an album and toured with Ozzy Osborne & Black Sabbath, Steven Stills, Iron Butterfly, and Steppenwolf. I currently sing with a small acoustic group here in San Diego. You can find out more about Suzanne’s musical life here.
What is something other Loopers may not know about you?
I’m an Animal Advocate and Administer the “No Kill San Diego” Facebook page. I am involved politically is reforming every animal shelter into No Kill shelters. There are hundreds of successful No Kill communities across the US and I am proud to stand up for those who cannot speak for themselves.
